Copyright by BenNolan ?

Post by Camox » Sat Aug 01, 2009 8:01 am

Why is my work in the gallery copyright by bnolan ? :evil: If you do not know the actual author will delete the images but do not give them out for your own. I hope you make changes this.

Here are a few examples.

Oh crap :shock: I also noticed they used one of BbBs renders (iirc it's his) on the front page. I hope they asked him for his permission.

But yeah definitely that "copyright by Bnolan" should be removed on anything not made by him or given to.

It probably says Ben cause those images have been uploaded using his account when the site was moved/gallery transfered. I'm sure he doesn't want to steal your work Camox and he will sort it out.

@Borgleader
Yeah, there is a possibility, that BbB doesn't want his work presented on the front page of a relatively large and active 3D community with millions of visits per year. :wink:

Some people were against the whole "indigo going commercial" maybe he was too?

I've talked to him about it, he's interested in possibly buying a license at some point and start using Indigo again.

We've asked BBB about using his images for promotional purposes, and he's fine with it.

Camox - sorry about that, the ownership fields in the database got a bit messed up when we moved from Joomla to Drupal.

Hi Benn,

Could you credit this one to Doug Armand and can you ensure that the metadata of the image has a copyright notice embedded in it too?. This is very important.

If you can't then I would prefer it removed. Thanks.
