Have a read of the manual
http://www2.indigorenderer.com/joomla/f ... php?t=1163
especially the section on textures.

"coefficent for quadratic texture function..""... mmm -- what the hell does that mean practically?

I am in agreement with giacob. There are many technical aspects to Indigo which I simply do not understand. But I still love it. Would be great to see a simple version of the manual if anyone's up to the job of de-technicalizing it ;)

Basically, b is the 'gain', or the multiplier for the texture.
So, for example, in the case of a bump map, 'b' controls the strength of the bump map.

thanks......so more A for a diffuse texture mean more saturated?
what about A and C then?..

'c' is a constant offset for each component.
'a' is... well... the coefficient for the quadratic term :)

Usually u should only have to mess with B.
A and C should remain 0.
