Is it true for all tags within <renderer_settings> ? It is sometimes usefull to resume with a different MLT setting, although the process power you seem to offer may render this note obsolete... nevermind.
No it checks the user who sent the project and the definition, but not all the internal Indigo settings. So what you say should work.

Here another Render done on the farm in 45 min (2 times resumed).
The
Sibenik Cathedral with Super Sampling of 2 and MN filter for SuperS and Splat of 0.333/0.333. A little color corrected in PS.
Szene is lit by Env Map via a lot of Exit portals for each hole!
On my system this result done in 45min here would take about 7.5 Days!!1!
BTW: works nice your little app, but the rendertime is displayed only for the last session, even if resumed and also calculates in the merging time, maybe on Ono's side some more detailed infos could be put into the IGI since he launched an updated IGI version in 1.1.4...

Found another bug, it seems to be related to using HDR maps...

it's not a bug. The IGI is perfectly fine, if I load it into Violet - without touching anything - you get the image below. Probably the tonemapping settings in your scene do not go well with the 1.1.3 Indigo tonemapper.

Image obtained to the igi with VioletToneMapper.

Just tested the resume rendering by created an originally .txt file (from Notepad), typed something in it, then saved and renamed the file and the file extension (.txt to .vui) to the same as the previous file I submitted.
It works like a charm. This feature is really helpful for any big .pigs project.

I've been running a few igs thru renderranch and so far it works great, no problems encountered and it seems nice and simple to use.. I am amazed at the speed of it. I have one render which I was never able to finish, the longest I let it render for was 4 days..I put it thru the ranch, 15 minutes and it was up to 16000 spp, it took one resume to finish it off and its done... I wish I could give some more critical feedback but it all works as expected so far.. Really nice work guys, unfortunatley I can see myself spending too much money getting renders done quickly.

BTW, Fred, I know the cost estimator exists on the Ranch's page but It'd be nice to know the actual cost for rendering so that we get the real awareness of the price we have to pay when the beta phase is ended.
I've never use Indigo for any commercial project before. Basically because it's not practical with my poor-old computer and limited time frame given (not to mention that I still have too much to learn about this great renderer). But with the information about the real price, I can guesstimate the project's overall budgets better.
Hope it's not too much to ask.
