Thanks Ben! :wink:

In my material window all the materials are assigned to objects in the szene, and I like to load an online material to an already assigned material.
But the loaded material is replacing the material name too and so it shows up as a completely new and unassigned material.
But this was not my intention, I like to fill in just all the parameters to a given material slot.
How can I achieve that, suv?
@Marvin
Yep, when usin import, then currently material is imported as a completely new material. A workaround would be using the Link feature. Linking will preserve the previous material and links the material to an external Indigo material.

@Zed
It is. Camera tone mapping is the default one. If you leave your TM selection to "none", then you are using Camera TM. I think it has always been like that in previous versions too.
Linear TM is missing though. I'll add that to the list.

I think I fixed it.
Link updated in the 1st post.
You can either uninstall the previous version and do a clean install or install directly over the previous version. Please let me know if it solves your problem.
Yes, thanks, Suv, it's working just fine now. Good job - awsome new features! Thanks for all your hard work! :D

Hi Slavn,
i guess you need to use Indigo 2.0 stable with Maxigo 2.0, not Inidgo 1.1.18.

Suv, the plugin works just fine for me. Thank you a lot!
I'm here to ask a couple of things:
1. Could you post just a quick tut about how to use instancing?
2. Is there any chance we will be able to see the indigo mat preview in the upper slots in the 3dsMax mat panel?

Hey,
I'm not sure about that. I have to check first how much work it would be. So I can't say Yes or No atm.
Pibuz wrote: 1. Could you post just a quick tut about how to use instancing?
A very quick step-by-step:
1 - Select your model
2 - Press and hold down the Shift key
3 - Move your object while keeping the Shift pressed
4 - Release your mouse btn and a dialog opens
5 - Pick "Instance" from the dialog and the number of copies you want to make

When your model is too high poly, then you can switch on the "Display as a box" parameter. (Right click on a model >> Object properties and check the "Display as Box" checkbox). Doing like that will keep your viewports more responsive.
There are also more advanced tools available for making copies/instances besides the manual way. For example you could check out the Array tool from the Max help file.
Also the new and experimental !! Maxigo scattering modifier is meant for populating areas with random instances of any model. I will probably make a video tutorial about it.

Not with the current "generation" of Maxigo. Maxigo is programmed using maxscript and it's not possible to access those slots via maxscript. I tried to find a way, but i couldn't. But I have plans to start moving parts of Maxigo over to C++ and it would be possible then. But I have no time frame when that could happen.

COOL!
YOU JUST MATCHED 3DMAX'S INSTANCE COPY MODE TO INDIGO'S!!!

WONDERFUL!!!!!!

I already knew how to make copies/instances in 3ds using hotkeys: what i didn't know was that Max's instances are actually exported as Indigo's instances! Very smart and intuitive! Great! Thank you Suv!
