Whats the error message? Because I got it to work, by doing exactly what you did, copy/pasta into notepad and save as .igm

well there are to many error messages that come up to name individual ones, but a couple of the ones that i read were about there being no such material as Diamond

Well that is really odd because I did not get a single error, although I did test it on 1.1.18 so...that might be why (but I dont think so, afaik material data structure hasnt change much between these two versions)

1. if your first issue is to do with clicking the file in your browser and getting a new page open full of xml then you can fix that by right clicking the download link and "saving as", or whatever your OS and browser calls it. Save as .igm.
2. If the errors you refer to are errors when running indigo then it is because you have not defined a material called Diamond in your scene. Your exporter should provide an external material loader (but you may still have to call your material Diamond...

ok well i did remember that and i did name the material Diamond and i am still having the same problem. Here is one of the error messages im getting (Error: There was an error with the scene file: Could not find root 'scenedata' element in file 'c:\docume~1\owner\locals~1\temp\..\..\..\..\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\blender\indigo materials\igms\Diamond.igm'.)
EDIT- I tried WytRaven's saving the target as an igm and it worked. thanks for the help!

Did you scale your thing correctly? Some materials with small absorption wont look colored at the right scale but will if it's too big, mine is too big as I didn't scale it down at all.

The body tag of an included igm must be <scenedata> not <scene> or anything else. I didn't check the file but that's what I understand from the error message.
