[bug]Triangulation Problem

Post by Zom-B » Mon Jul 06, 2009 11:06 am

Hey Ono & Ben...

I have here a scene that gets some wired triangualtion, kd-tree or bvh doesn't matter...
it looks for me like a subdiv generated fault.... but no subdiv on this mesh!
It also doesn't seem to be a problem of scaling!

1.1.18

2.0.9

Th Fun starts that this error seems to be generated by the camera setting! I can soo into this (just like done here) but with other camera settings everything seems fine...
I hope the simplified scene file helps ya!

View dependent subdivisions are linked to some camera aspect, notably the position and frustrum. It seems indeed that there is a subdivided mesh, probably using a curvature optimisation. The black triangles suggests maybe that two meshes are present. My guess ;)

Oh yes I missed them, and the images were eloquent enough. I was too keen to speculate on the issue I think
