dining soon
Another test of mine.
It's still WIP as you see, now cooking another shot.
Done to test a little DOF, some plants downloaded from the warehouse and a dark material never used before (black wenge)...
Multilight active, I'll try different lighting situations.
Let's see..

Re: dining soon
Great scene Pibuz. It has a very realistic lighting/atmosphere.
Like coming home on a rainy afternoon and preparing to have a dinner. Or smth like that.
Will keep an eye on the progress.

Re: dining soon
Great work Pibuz. It's a pity BbB has moved on as you two could really heat this place up competing with each other

Re: dining soon
A quick question, that plant near the door, did you made it yourself or is it available for download at some place?

Wyt:
Too kind pal: still trying to learn something from the magister
Suv:
It is downloadable from the 3D warehouse (models for sketchup), OR I can send you the model via pm or link, but the model is waaay too lowpoly.
That's why I put it in the background and out of focus

Re: dining soon
Very nice scene!
Do you plan to place something outside in front of the window... some wood-floored-balcony or something like that? Something simple and reduced, but fitting to the rest of the great interiour.

Re: dining soon
Looks great ! Only criticism is the chair, the bumpmap is a little too high.
Re: dining soon
Fantastic scene, lighting and materials.
A great render.

Re: dining soon
Thank you all guys! Some support is always appreciated!

Grazie mille! Anche tu usi sketch vero? Posta qualcosa dai, son curioso di vedere come sei migliorato!

Thank you for your appreciation!
I like that mood too, trying to reproduce some early-morning feeling

Thank you very much.

Thanks mate. It is so important to read feedbacks like yours. Don't think to be too picky: everything you think should be added/changed could be a useful tip. So share it with me!
Camox
Thank you! I guess the bump is too strong too. In the next version I'll work on that material to make it better.

Thank you! Actually, I wasn't planning to add anything outside: it seems that I'm no good at all at those things! but I'll think about it: if anything simple and interesting pops in my mind, I'll sure make a try out of it! Though it might be easier that I end up putting a simple curtain in front of the window

Thank you very much!
So, after all these credits (which I'm very pleased to have received), I post some other wips.
As always, cooked overnight (surprisingly only about 6 hours).
Added the fruit basket, adjusted the leather and wood (table) materials, and some other minor changes to others mats.
Major change here is that I rendered the scene for the first time from Linux64bits, which allowed me to set the output to "2400 x something" pixels, keeping all three light layers on. Win32 only allowed me 2 layers and an output of "1500 x something".
I'm going to open a new thread in the SketchUp section about the workflow working with sketch, skindigo, indigo64bits and linux.
For now, here is the result, still wip.
