worth updating from a X2 4200 to a phenom X4 9600(mostly for indigo) what do you think guys?

Are you sticky with amd because your motherboard supports both?

I'd wait a little longer before upgrading to a Phenom X4 'cause they're still quite expensive at the moment... Maybe consider upgrading in 2 months or so

The cpu upgrade will be a huge boost to your Indigo rendering, go for it.
