normal smoothing, I bet...
your model appears to be very edgy. Try to sub surf it twice
Oh, and if you use blender, you should also use the Edge split modifier
No problem
That's a typical ever-day problem.
If you look exactly, those issues also happen in the blender-internal renderer.
There, you don't get black artefacts, but it simply looks *odd*
But ok, how would you possibly smooth a, say, 90° edge, so that it appears like a smooth bevel?
Works fine under 64-bit Ubuntu Linux (2 core proccessor) but...
For some reason CPU load never reaches 100% while under wine indigo takes all cpu power.
I'll do some speed comparisions, and let you know which version is faster.
hey when i try to run indigo_console it says
" joe@linux-k6i0:~>
Indigo Renderer v0.9 test 8, Linux 64-bit Release build.
IniFileExcep: could not open file 'inifile.txt'.
Fatal Error: IniFileExcep: could not open file 'inifile.txt'. "
how do i get around that, i've tried permissions but no dice.

I strongly recommend you to download and use the windows indigo under wine.
The linux port you downloaded is the very first one built for linux and it's still buggy. Here's a small tut I wrote on how to set it up under wine.
Native linux builds never gave me any trouble whatsoever joe. My only issue is that the native builds have stopped...instaead I am forced to use a 32bit windows version on 64bit linux
