[NEED HELP] Indigo Won't Save Render

Post by The13Ronin » Sun Jun 03, 2007 9:33 pm

I'm using INDIGO 0.8 with the BLENDER 0.8 Exporter (before I was using V0.6, same problem).

The title states my problem:

The command line gives me the error ImageExcep: Failed to open "[RANDOM RENDER PGN NAME]"

I can't get the end result of my hard work  .

I'm desperate for help. Please someone...? Anyone...?

Have you tried using a different file format like JPG and see if that makes a difference?

:x ...i didn't read the title - I thought it was trying to open a PNG file.

Okay, are you sure you have a /renders folder in your indigo directory?

No I don't, am I required to make one?

Yep, that's where the rendered images are going.
Strange, that you don't have it. It should be there by default.

I'll make one and post back the results. I'm not optomistic.

I had that bug with 0.6, if I remember correctly..
after adding it, it worked fine.
None of the newer Versions had that missing folder...

I guess you didn't unpack the indigo installation package correctly. The proper directory structure is already in the zip file you downloaded. Try to unpack it again.

Thanks, that fixed the original problem! But now I have a new one... MY IMAGE IS BEING RENDERED WHITE... Nothing... Just white... White all over... (And when I save a file it always and I mean ALWAYS saves into the correct folder but saves under the name DEFAULT, even when I change it under the export script). It doesn't look like this when I render with Blender. Argh! Why must I have all these problems!

Once again I plead for the help and compassion of anyone who may be able to lend a hand.

This problem is driving me nuts... I might try reverting back to V6 to see if I have the same problem.

This sounds like a usual problem:
You don't have ANY lightsource in your scene.

It should be the same with 0.6 or with any other Inidigo Version.

But I have a lamp! Now the models showing up but my texture isn't showing up ARGH!

I have a model of Earth and I can see Earth but it appears as purple sphere instead of having the sea and land textures I attached to the sphere!

(The textured version is rendered by blender but not by Indigo?)

Hum.... strange...

Which Exporter are you using?
What are your settings, to get the textures from Blender to Indigo?
Are the textures in the same folder as the .igs?

Don't the textures export with the model?

I've just been using all default Indigo export settings and i'm using the Indigo Exporter for Blender V0.8.
