the difference in brightness might be due mainly to a difference in materials in the second scene. make them the same and take out the curtains in the vray scene, and then you should have a good test. no offence to indigo's unbiasedness, but that vray scene is mad realistic.

I made some color corrections.
I hope that you don't mind filippo.

White balance and exposure corrected.

If you want to match the Vray render in style, try increasing the exponents on the indigo phongs, the phongs are a lot blurrier than the vray equivalents (on the red desk at least).

-activate normal smoothing for the vase
-try to make everything as close as possible.

the brightness doesn't matter, I guess, but the colours (mats) that are used, shal be the same.

-glases
-sofa
-the screen of the TV (it's way blueisher in the vray scene)
-the pics
-the vase it self
-the pillows
-the curtains (missing in indigo scene)
-the frame of the big wide image
-other frames as well
- books

I think, that's about it...
if you don't get (or find) the same textures, try at least, to find kinda simmilar ones.

also try to find a leather-bump for the sofa.

great work, though. :D

(If you don't want to change the colours, and you also have full access to the vray- scene, you should change the settings THERE)
