Also Genetica isn't free, but the Genitica Viewer you are linking to is,
but the viewer can't export normal maps

and each of the mixed chanels (some could be used for Bump Maping) up to a resolution of 3000x3000

Thanks for the info. It already mentions that it's linking to the viewer, but I've removed the info about normal maps and I've added arbaro.ZomB wrote:Also Genetica isn't free, but the Genitica Viewer you are linking to is,

@manitwo: Hugin and autostitch rock! But I always use them with enblend (http://enblend.sourceforge.net/).
From the website:

Check out their examples!Given a set of images that overlap in some irregular way, Enblend overlays them in such a way that the seam between the images is invisible, or at least very difficult to see. Enblend does not line up the images for you. Use a tool like Hugin to do that.

A couple of life-saving open source programs to add to your list (I cannot believe I forgot to mention them!):
Avisynth - http://avisynth.org/ Very powerful framesever scripting system (Windows)
FWC - http://fwutilities.sourceforge.net/download.html. This is a filewatcher that can run processes on newly created files. It is a Godsend! (Windows)
Duff - https://sourceforge.net/projects/dff/ Finds duplicate files. (Windows)
Refile -http://sourceforge.net/projects/refile/ Great renamer. Cross platform.
Autohotkey - http://www.autohotkey.com/ Forget batch files, this is an extremely powerful way of automating everything on windows!
The list needs text compare utilities - I have one somewhere but I'm not bothered to find it right now.
Koba
EDIT - I should shoot myself. Synfig is a crossplatform, ultra-awesome vector animation program. Think of it as Animation Inkscape, 2D Blender, Opensource Flash or Vector GAP (Gimp). I should warn people that it is alpha and buggy though.

Hey carbon, you use Blender right? If so, try a 'separate' feature if possible that removes mesh data and brings down the file size. Unless your editing mesh data or something....then I'm not sure what to do.
I still use notepad to open my scene files. (haven't looked for another program yet)
