I'll be honest this is based on a photo I saw of Peter Zumthor's Kuntzhaus in Bregenz, which had the blurred people in, got me thinking.. how to use free 3D warehouse 3d people in a scene and get away with it! It was such a simple photo I thought I'd quickly recreate it for a test scene.
As it is Zumthor, the building is a clean as I've shown it! no exposed conduit there!

You say Zumthor, you say all. Respect.

I like it, though not a huge fan of the colour grading and burnt out areas. A matter of taste of course. :)

Yeah; the pavement is killer! Only blend material? And great work with the pebbles and the small plants in it. Evermotion?

Thanks! :D

The pavement is just a simple blend between 2 versions of the same texture - 1 dark, smooth, shiny 2 light with normal and dull.

The pebbles are just a texture I made with displacement, with some little plants scattered in SketchUp.

Wow--- I did spent some time watching this image, and came back to it again and again before posting - really great work. You definitely know how to brick!
And the wet stuff is beyond cool.

Only some minor things, and I feel like an idiot telling you, cause it is really kinda perfect...
- the contrast between the 3D trees and the texture is... hardly visible. But still visible
- and the chairs - the place where you put your a** (don't know the english word...), isn't it way too long?
- something about the carpet in the inside...

Again, don't take me serious, and keep posting!

 you picked out the 3 things that I wasn't happy with!
I was going to put more 3d stuff in front of the tree image to hide it better.
The chair seat is actually the correct length, but the wide camera angle is distorting it badly...
The rug didn't have enough subdivision, but I didn't notice it until I was well into post, and at that stage I couldn't be bothered re-rendering...
Thanks for the comments tho! Helps stop me being lazy about these things!

Last one of the year from me (I promise!) Based on an image I found on Google, to push the landscape a bit more. All the grass is done with Skindigo scatter, with larger plants placed individually. Have to admit I'm pretty happy with this one :)

To all that celebrate it, have a great Christmas!

Hi

Great job especially for vegetation.
I never figured out how to get the grass with Skindigo, it would be a nice tutorial.......
