What problem is this?
Perhaps,my install mistake?

My method:
copy "res and cinema4dsdk" to CINEMA 4D R10/plugins

Is my install right?

hi Xman,
copy "res and cinema4dsdk" to "CINEMA 4D R10/plugins/Indigo Exporter 0.7.5" would be better.

but there seems to be a bug in my res files anyway. will check that.

where are you from?

edit: yes it was a bug (forgot a ";"). wonder why R9 didnt complain

My Request is a version History for your exporter, so it would be easy to track development, and see what the updates exactly do...
At the moment I'm slightly confused about the first post updates...

Me loves rising version numbers :lol:

ok, next release will have a version number :)

sry for confusing you

me loves the word "confused" (especially the last part :P)

edit: uploaded a new version WITH version number (0.2, everything before was 0.1) and Xmans bug fixed.

----------------------------

INDIGO EXPORTER FOR C4D v0.2

download exporter

please tell me if you find bugs(bugs i dont know about, that is :P) or have specific requests. i will try to fix/implement as fast as possible.

known bugs/issues v0.2:

*MESHLIGHTS DONT WORK (they do but not as they should)

*objects grouped with null-objects wont be exportet, will fix that soon
*base objects (e.g. plane,sphere) are not supportet yet
*sometimes you have to guess the right fields, didnt find out how to hide them yet
*env maps are not supported yet
*textures are not supported yet
*no epidermis and demis for now
*and probably much more... :)

FIXED-list v0.2:

* FIXED: overrides
* FIXED: no glossy transparent
* FIXED(peak not supported yet): only blackbody for meshlights
* FIXED(.3ds and .obj supported now): only .3ds supported for now
* FIXED(well not really :P): you have to export your camera vectors by hand
* FIXED(i can render scenes exported with my exporter :) ):export itself is VERY buggy
* FIXED: Exports single objects now

list is getting shorter :D

hi hris, applying only the material helper is not enough.

you must also apply the cinema 4d material to the object.
the material helper is only to set up the indigo materials and needs to be appied only once for every material you use.

and please try to avoid material names with a ".", they get exported wrong (cinema issue, not my fault)

Image

and a new release!

----------------------------

INDIGO EXPORTER FOR C4D 0.2.1b

download exporter here (or below)

the file contains "sampleScene.c4d" for everyone who still doesnt know how to setup stuff.

please tell me if you find bugs or have specific requests. i will try to fix/implement as fast as possible.

new in 0.2.1b:

* NK supported (i think - not tested)
* demis and epidermis supported
* planes(only normal = (0 0 1) for now) and spheres supported
* formated the mat helper tag for better understanding
* henyey greenstein supported now

* code was getting pretty confusing, so i made it at least a bit object orientated, much easier to understand now... thats not for you but it took some time so i at least wanted to mention it :D

known bugs/issues 0.2.1b:

* objects grouped with null-objects wont be exported, will fix that sooner or later :P
* sometimes you have to guess the right fields, didnt find out how to hide them yet
* env maps are not supported yet
* textures are not supported yet
* camera (you can use the settings contained in "standart camera.txt" or export it with BL exporter, im working on it)

FIXED-list 0.2.1b:

* FIXED: fixed meshlight (only .3ds export for now, normal smoothing false by default)
* FIXED: mesh position and (hopefully) rotation

this is the first useful release i think :mrgreen:
