Hehe, yes, But I meant like this

(but you probably did understand that

)
Code: Select all
<material>
<emitter>
<!--colour>1 1 1</colour-->
<temprature>6000<temprature>
<intensity>100</intensity>
</emitter>
</material>

Wouldn't it make more sense to just add a map to meshlights ?

I'll probably add texturing to meshlights soon.

Hi all,
just my 2 cents. Why not to redifine the meshlight emitters not as a standalone entity but more like a material property?
At the moment the exporters handle the meshlights as individual entities and not like mesh elements to which is attached an emitting material. Why not to proceed in this direction? Why not to create together with Phong, Diffuse, Blend, Specular and Glossy also a new branch of material related to emitting properties that could be easily embedded with textures?I do really think is much more easy and versatile to use such approach instead of the existing one.
Any feedback welcomed.
Regards, Riccardo.

Perhaps the inflexible HDR lightning System in Indigo could be redone to such a material based system rgigante describes...
