I installed the current versions of Indigo and Skindigo from the website and have SketchUp7 installed on my computer, too.
Sadly it is not possible to launch Indigo, Windows says it has detected a mistake and cannot open the program. I use Windows XP SP2; what shall I do now?
Indigo does not launch
Re: Indigo does not launch
Check if starting Indigo by using the desktop shortcut works, and render one of the testscenes in the indigo installation folder!
What CPU do you have? is it SSE2 capable?

Re: Indigo does not launch
No, even starting the program with the desktop icon does not work.
I cannot remeber really what CPU my computer has, but probably this data helps; in system properties ist written 2.08 GHz, 512 MB RAM. Where else can I look it up?
My computer is not a new one, it's about 4 years old, and in that time it was a good one.^^

Re: Indigo does not launch
You really should know your hardware better mate, if somebody asks you what car you drive your answer also shouldn't be "A red one!"
Ok but well 4 years in Computer years is close to the grave... or already half buried!
10 years ago I was 19 and Awesomo ... wohoo, I can't win any contest with this information today
You wont have any fun with Indigo with such a brick, but anyway its quite possible that your CPU is to old anyway, so speed wount be an issue anymore
Hit "CTRL+Pause" button to get in the system dialog where you can see what windows with SP you have and how much RAM + what CPU you have build in your computer. Paste it here, or Google it yourself if the CPU it supports SSE2 commands.

Re: Indigo does not launch
Ha, ok xD. It's an AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2800+
Re: Indigo does not launch
jep, just as I thought... no SEE2, so Indigo isn't able to run on your machine.
(unbiased) Raytracing is very hungry for CPU power, even if your machine would run Indigo you'll end up waiting until forever for your images... thats no fun!
Sorry for my sarcasm before
btw: your CPU hit the market back in Feb 2003 (!!!)

Re: Indigo does not launch
Hmm ... ok. Newertheless, thanks for your help.
Re: Indigo does not launch
Yes sorry... your computer was old even 4 years ago
Last build that don't need SSE2 is 1.1.14... its even Freeware
http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... f=1&t=5056
You can try this ancient exporters: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... =17&t=5324
maybe this works too: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... =17&t=5444
v 1.1.14 is exactly 2years old now and Indigo + Exporters evolved massively through this time, regarding speed + features!
