LED's on building facade...

I need to represend some LED inside or with-in a building skin "fabric"
I was thinking of using the maxingo scatter tool to scatter some small round spheres with a log segment count. These spheres would have an Emitter matrial with different colors assignet to them?

Would this work?

One thing to note here is, that Maxigo scattering only works on horizontal surfaces.
It was never developed further. It's useful for scattering trees and grass and similar things that can be put on a ground plane.
