indigo exporter v0.616 IndegoMaterial.mse Compile error?help

Post by Dondesignn » Tue Dec 19, 2006 5:11 pm

Need Help !!
Im still getting problem after following the readme note as below:

Exporter:
----------

copy files from "Exporter\scripts" folder to Maxroot\scripts\
copy files from "Exporter\UI" folder to Maxroot\UI\MacroScripts\
copy files from "master" folder to "indigofolder" on YOUR MACHINE -- must be done to run Indigo locally
edit m2i.ini to set your indigodir

restart Max.............

The problem:
>>>after restart max there is a pop up window:-

"IndegoMaterial.mse Execusion"????on top
Compile error :unrecognized parameter type:index

What should i do to fix this?? by the way im using 3d Studio Viz04.....

3dstudio Viz04 is contemporary to 3dsmax4?
If so, no chance the latest version will work with it. The syntax is compatible from 3dsmax6 and up.

The last version that worked for me on max 5 was 0.512 of the exporter, so perhaps you could try that one instead, but then you'll also need indigo 0.5; it's the compatible version for that exporter; or get a newer version of 3dsmax/viz :D For the latest version I'm using 3dsmax6 and works fine, but I'm at the edge of being left behind if U3dreal decides to move everything to Max9 and Maxscript drastically changes there :(

so, please correct me if I'm wrong in the Viz version thingie

No worries afecelis .. no drastic change..

:D

Well it seems some variable is not there..

can you tell me which line the error accours in ??

Do you have any indigo materials available ???
If yes which ...

See if you have variable #index available in maxscript....

cheers

u3dreal ;)

PS Yeah maybe you will have to update cause maxscript changed alot
in version 6.0
