^^ If I add a blend material in the exporter, assign the blendmap filename, and then afterwards if I want to remove the location of the blendmap file, I find it doesn't let me and I have to remove it manually from the xml afterwards. When I try remove it in the exporter then sometimes it also adds a bunch of '\' in the path to the blendmap unnecessarily.

On another note - this exporter has increased my Blender->Indigo workflow about a billion times. Thanks again Zuegs!

UPDATED AGAIN :D

- fixed possibility to remove texture
- absorbtion color preview inversed
- new material-type "External" that allows to include an external XML file (for test)

@neepneep: hope this solves also yours

Linux compatibility

Post by GNUdo » Wed Feb 21, 2007 6:00 am

The Preview button works for me under Linux with the material preview scene from kepler if I insert this line:

filename = os.path.basename(filename)

between these two lines:

f.write("cd \"" + indigopath + "\"\n")
----- insert here ----
f.write("nice -n 20 wine indigo.exe \"" + filename + "\" -t " + str(Threads.val))

in "def launchIndigo(filename):"
I think it has to do with the conversion slash<-->backslash not occurring in Indigo when loading the texture file, in fact in the console I obtain:

Loading Scene '/home/francesco/.wine/drive_c/Indigo-07/materialpreview.xml'...
Using Reinhard tone mapping with pre_scale=1.000000, post_scale=2.000000, burn=30.000000
trying to load texture from '\home\francesco\.wine\drive_c\Indigo-07\grid.jpg'...
couldn't open '\home\francesco\.wine\drive_c\Indigo-07\grid.jpg' for reading.

Thank you for this material editor!

ok i have a few problems.

1st: when i try and preview a material i get a console error that reads:

"global name "relmatsfn" is not defined"

all the objects in my scene have designated blender materials (material 0.01 etc.) and i have downloaded the previewmaterial.xml and put it into my indigo folder... with that my second problem.

2nd: when i hit render it gives me the following error:

"no such file or directory: c:\\programme\\indigo_07\\default.xml"

is that refering to the downloaded preview mat file or is there a file that i need to place into my indigo_06 (not 07) directory. and does it have to be in that exact position for the exporter to pick it up (for example my indigo is on my d: :P)

not sure if its just me or weather im doing something horably wrong. if so please dont hesitate to flame the noob XD

thanks alot. from what i can see this is an awesome exporter, looking forward to saving alot of time.

thanks
mat

Small UPDATE

- "save IGI" button
- reworked "export mesh", "sep. mesh file" and "sep. mat file"

@matsta: please modify path in your "indigowrapper.conf" file to match your indigo install-directory.

@GNUdo: thanks, yup, currently linux-support isn't very working. I need help from a linux-scripter to fix this as i have only windows  . which type of slashes you see in the exporter-GUI for your texture?

@SmartDen:  , not sure about sorry, when i set green-scattering i can also see green-colored scattering from the media. Only the light that passes medium without scattering is magenta. So i think scattering color matches the color i can see from media???

tested this script for the first time .... wow! really good work!

two things i discovered:
dont know if im doing something wrong but it seams that it exports
both - "linear" and "reinhard" tonemapping at the same time :?
it also exports a null material by default (but maybe that is intended).

thank you for your work

I've right with tonemapping and null-material, but it have no effect to the scene. Bun anyway it must be corrected
