I just uploaded a new version with:

# added check to handle wrong sunrise and sunset because of wrong TZ
# the "Now" button sets the current timezone
# added animation support

Could someone test if animating works as expected?
Usage instructions are in the script Info section.

Download the script from the first post.

That was quick! :shock:

And the animation seems to work very well!!!!!

However the one thing that may need changing is the interpolation type - it should be linear by default so the sun movement is constant.

Here's a really quick Blender render test - a 3 hour time lapse of a late afternoon sun compressed into 4 seconds.

edit: changed my mind :D the current default is fine as it is :roll:
