Strange Rendering Behaviour

Hi guys.

First post, but i've been fiddling with indigo for a couple of days, and whenever I am using glass or any other transparent material, i always get some areas completely black. i have no idea why this is happening and any help would be awesome.

This is normal with suzanne because it's not a closed mesh, and parts of the eyes intersect the other geometry.

Hi

1. In edit mode select one VE from both eyes, then Ctrl + L, then H.
2. Select one eye hole edge verts (per time) and hit E + S + 0, then Ctrl + A, and hit W remove doubles.
3. Hit Alt + H, then hide head like eyes.
4. Hit Ctrl + Alt + Shift + M, that's what u need to extrude + scale to 0, then remove doubles.
5. Alt + H, then Ctrl + A, then Ctrl + N.
6. Grab eyes a bit inside and subsurf.
7. Assign different material name for the eyes.
8. Create same material for the eyes but with different % than for head.
