I cannot see the whole script as my laptop has 1280x800.

It would be ok if i were able to pan the export window, but for some reason this is not possible.

Hi, i switched from blendigo 1.1.7 to this one, and now i cant export some scenes, got this error
"exporting object "wine_glass.001"
exporting mesh "Plane.007_Plane.007"
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<string>", line 3981, in buttonEvt
File "<string>", line 3213, in exportStill
File "<string>", line 3151, in export
File "<string>", line 2639, in exportMeshs
File "<string>", line 2570, in exportMesh
ValueError: object "Plane.007_Plane.007" not found"
Actual name of plane object is Plane.007, dont know why script is doubling it.
But it works well in blendigo 1.0.9 and 1.1.7, how can i fix this?

ok @folks,
I have withdrawn this script today but I am thinking if smartden has gone missing there may be a small update in a few weeks to provide 'something' as a default for Indigo 1.1.xx(stable)...I guess we 'll have to wait and see...not intending or wanting to but if all else fails...

cheers
BF

Hey Big Fan,

i just wanted to give you a little bit positive feedback . I tried it out and I've found no greater problems when using it (except for my stressed eyes due to small monitor + 1280 960  )

thanks for the positive comment  its nice to get one.. or two..

its a pity the scripts window is so limited in what you can do with it
and the blender window is so ugly in comparison to modern standards
perhaps after blender 2.50 things will be better

because there is no plan for indigo development its kind of hard to know what to do for the best to accomodate everything and make it hang together through the revisions with the min effort.
960 high is difficult for some I know but I didnt set out to provide this script for everyone
alas there is no zoom or scroll in the scripts window...

I can offer no remedies at this time other than eat lots of carrots, rotate your display/head :P or save for a widescreen 8)

happy rendering :D

yeah the blender windows are "suboptimal" :D

ps: 1. calling "Big Buck Bunny" team for some virtual carrots
2. saving has been already started. donations are welcome 8)

just a note about a bug reported re blended materials

when a blend map is used for blended materials the script wrongly writes a <blend_factor> statement as well as the map statements and indigo gives an error (obtusely) pointing to <texture>

therefore if you want to use this beta script for blends with a map you will need hand edit the .igs to remove the <blend_factor> line

HTH somebody

I suppose I could provide another beta with fixes but it seems likely smartden will supply an update soon so unless someone is desperate for it I'll probably leave it be as a known issue

For the few people still messing with it there were some bugs in the last version I feel bad about leaving so here's the script updated for 1.1.13
This is here until 31 Oct only

I played with the preview method but I'm not happy with it - will most likely revert to previous way

Big change is lights handling. I guess this is an experiment too.
Maybe you form an opinion about if it works for practical use or not

EDIT: files removed 1 Nov

anyone looking for a Blendigo script now needs to use the official Blendigo - an update of which is due out very soon 8) (we hear and hope)

wow thanks! seems to be working so far.

Just a note about material previews. You will need to:

1. Create a new folder in your 1.1.13 directory "BLpreviews"
2. paste the preview files from Big Fan's previewmats.zip into that.
3. if you have it, copy the "(preview folder)\textures" folder into BLpreviews
4. find the squaretile.jpg and paste it into the new textures folder.

Or, instead of downloading the previewmats.zip, just download this and extract it to the 1.1.13 directory:

And a reminder about those uv sets. Each "map" in a material needs a different name right? And you can't just leave it blank even if you aren't using a texture?
