Hi. I am new to Indigo, and have installed it on Windows for Blender (Python 2.5.2, Blender 2.46, Indigo 1.0.9, Blendigo 1.0.9). However, when I open the default Blender scene, or any other saved one, and select File>Export>Blendigo, I get the eror message "Python script error: check console". The console displays:
Code: Select all
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<string>", line 115, in <module>
ImportError: No module named BPyMesh
Any ideas?
Thanks
Robert

Remove the version 2.5.2 of Python and put the version suggested by SmartDen in the Blendigo 1.0.9... test and let us know
Bye
Luca.

Well, the Blendigo 1.0.9 release post only specifies 2.5, which, by folliwing the link, does not seem available any more, having been replaced by 2.5.2. The tutorial on this site to install Blendigo 1.0.9 specifies 2.5.2. I have reinstalled Python, but this doesn't make any difference.
Sorry if I haven't quite understood what you were trying to say!

'fraid that doesn't help at all. I tried selecting meshes in both Object and Edit mode, and the same error messages appear

Do you mean an example of a .blend file that doesn't work? Here's one, although even the startup scene fails, just a simple cube. Indigo itself works, rendering the test scenes through the GUI.

I don't think it's a problem with my file, but my install/config of Blendigo/Indigo. I've never had a render to work in it. I did follow the steps to install it fully, though.

Go to the blender directory and look there: Blender\.blender\scripts\bpymodules
do you have the said BPyMesh file there?

Hmmm... I don't even have that bpymodules folder. Strange... I haven't played with my Blender install at all. Where does that folder come from?

Update: I found that this problem has occurred for a number of people with the new release (the no BPyMesh or indeed any scripts problem) so I reinstalled from the ZIP and the folder is now heavily populated. I still get a similar error:
Code: Select all
File "<string>", line 115, in <module>
File: "C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender\.blender\scripts\bpymodules\BPyMesh.py", line 23, in <module>
import BPyMesh_redux # seperated because of its size.
ImportError: No modle named BPyMesh_redux
BPyMesh_redux does exist!!

I had the same problem. I think it is a result of using the .exe installation of Blender, which doesn't install any of the python or plugin files (this wasn't a problem in the past

)
You need to download the Blender 2.46 zip and copy all of the files that the .exe failed to install. And also open the Blendigo zip and copy the 'IndigoWrapper.conf' file into the bpydata directory. Then change the path in the .conf file to match the location of your indigo install. Then it should work.
Easy!
