Generating/exporting xml files with Blender

Post by mcgrathfx » Wed Oct 31, 2007 9:49 am

Hi,
How do I generate/export an .xml scene file from Blender or Blendigo in order to manually edit the scene? I'm using Blender 2.44, Indigo 0.8 stable and Blendigo 0.8t2 beta1d. Michael :D

When you press the "export scene" button, an igs file is created. If you leave the "default.igs" buttton selected, the file will be created in your indigo installation with that exact name; if you unselect this option, the file will be created in the same folder as your blender file and will take the same name of your blender scene. You can open this igs file with a text editor and edit it by hand.

why are you using 0.8 stable and not 0.9 stable? (0.9.10)

afecelis: Thanks - I'll give it a try tonight.

Kram1032: Wow! Didn't know 0.9 stable was available yet. I'm pretty new to Indigo and have been so engrossed in learning 0.8! Thanks :D

;)

There also is the version 1.0.1 which seems to be pretty stable, too.
The problem is, that you only have a Win32 and a Linux64 bit version....

0.9.10 is available for Win32-64 and Linux32-64 bit :)
