Re: Blendigo (for Blender 2.63) 3.4.9.1
Ortho works great (except for weird transparency issue) but I can't get section plane to work from Blender... Tried naming the object 'SECTION1.section' as well as setting the mesh name to the same thing... Any tips?
Re: Blendigo (for Blender 2.63) 3.4.9.1
I got the section plane working. Got a bit trouble before finding out that it uses the object rotation instead of the mesh normal for the cutting direction.
Is the culling off -option hidden somewhere in blendigo?

Not yet. I'm not quite sure where to put it.Silmä wrote:

What if it fell under other parameters like the settings for Proxy, Subdivision, etc.? Custom Indigo parameters for an object all in one place? Then maybe you could enable any object to be a section plane (using it's object rotation for the normal) by ticking a box, then also toggling culling?OnoSendai wrote:Not yet. Re: Blendigo (for Blender 2.63) 3.4.9.1
That's where I looked at first, too.
Re: Blendigo (for Blender 2.63) 3.4.9.1
Ok, I'll investigate adding it there.
Re: Blendigo (for Blender 2.63) 3.4.9.1
This is what I would have done. I . Think using magic naming on objects is a bit gross.StompinTom wrote:What if it fell under other parameters like the settings for Proxy, Subdivision, etc.? Re: Blendigo (for Blender 2.63) 3.4.9.1
Agreed. Although it also feels a little wasteful adding a checkbox to every object.dougal2 wrote: This is what I would have done. I . Think using magic naming on objects is a bit gross.
Re: Blendigo (for Blender 2.63) 3.4.9.1
Still having blender crashing with animation. I think I have isolated the problem to lighting, "blender" layers and object topology!!!
I have a scene with 2 types of lighting :
1- One hemi lamp using background color without any Indigo layer (tried with a layer and it's the same thing
2- 5 objects with an emission material (all using the same material)
- Object 1 at "blender" layer 11
- Object 2 through 5 at "blender" layer 1
3- All other objects are always presents (no emissions, only texture maps).
P.S. I did a lot of tests to get there. I only give you my resulting analysis...
In all the following tests, I tried launching an animation for frames 1 through 90. When Blender crash, I reload the scene which I never save from tests to tests.
TEST 1
Launch animation render with all 5 objects presents. Blender crash at first frame.
TEST2
Launch animation render with only object 1. Blendigo is able to get to frame 90 and launch Indigo.
TEST3
Launch animation render with object 1 and 4. Blender crash at first frame.
TEST4
Launch animation render with object 4 only. Blender crash at first frame.
Here I noticed that object 1 and 4 were not on the same "Blender" layer. TEST5
Moved object 4 to same layer than object 1 (Layer 11), move object 1 out of the scene (layer 3 which is not displayed). Blender crash at first frame.
TEST6
Modified object 4 to remove top 4 vertices which left me with a plane with normals pointing down. Blender crash at first frame.
TEST7
Took object 4 which was a simple cube and applied a bevel on it. Move object 4 to layer 11. Blendigo is able to get to frame 90 and starts Indigo.
TEST8
Took object 2 through 5 and joined them, applied a bevel on them and move them to layer 11. Blendigo is able to get to frame 90 and starts Indigo.
Not sure what to make of it. I hope you will be able to on your side? BTW, I tried all tests more than once, not in the same order and I always get the same results.
