modeling a real effect light bulb

Post by dagobert » Sun Sep 14, 2008 3:28 am

i have done a light bulb and now i try to render it with indigo. the rendering of the light bulb off is ok. but when i put an emitter material to the incandescent string the all image is underexposed. like if ther is an automatic speed adjustement. So how to make the light bulbe lite the scene even if i shoot direcly the light.
Hope i m clear.
thanks

it's probably because you have the tonemapping as reinhard. It is sort of like an auto-exposure, so when you have an emitter that is visible, it adjusts and everything turns dark.

you need to adjust the tonemapping values... possibly switch to linear or camera.
