Cookie Material

Post by gandaldf » Mon Mar 12, 2007 2:04 pm

Hi all,
For very long time I've tried to make a cookie material like those in the mxm gallery...

http://mxmgallery.maxwellrender.com/ima ... 6_6205.jpg

or

http://mxmgallery.maxwellrender.com/ima ... 7_7585.jpg

but I can't get a realistic result... so, as the last chance, I write this post.. if someone here can help with this material.. all suggestions are accepted!
Thanks for all!
Diego

nice mats!
you'd need bump + SSS, which isn't possible, now, I'd say...
otherwise, you have to handedit the whole previewscene... Maybe, you'd also need colourmap, but I don't think so

I think the main effect of these materials rely on strong bump, and also the chocolate one uses the same map as a modifier for the exponent (specular index) of the material, that's something you can do with Indigo to I would say...
