Chainlink fence with opacity map

Post by neo0. » Tue Sep 13, 2011 7:36 am

Im planning on using a fence for a scene that im doing. However, I don't feel like modelling out the fence, so this is the solution that a quick search on google turned up. How would I go about implementing this in indigo? Any help would be appreciated.

Blend material + null material + 'chain' material (simple grey phong) + chainlink blend map (white on black, crosshatching pattern). If you want to get fancy, create a bump map for the phong material to give the fence a bit of depth. Maybe even displacement.

I made one once. Maybe you can use it?
