hi ppl i make one quik test about the hybrid mode.....i dont know if this scene is propper for this test but the results are very interesting....
first image rendered for 2m:35sec with hybrid=true
the second thw same time but hybrid=false
bidir enable for booth images...take a taste...witch is clearest?

Well they're both pretty good

bidir without MLT is a pretty good choice now, so it will be competitive with hybrid mode.

hey ono look inside the reflection of the balls.....in hybrid mode there is no noise inside the reflections!can u see this?

Did you enable MLT for non-hybrid version?

no the first image has hybrid mode enabled the second (hith the noise inside the reflections) not have hybrid enabled...

hmmm... but the shadows are strange...
both still noisy, but one's darker

THERE you mean no noise, lol
But therefor, the rectacle-light-source-reflection is noisier in the hybrid version...

yes kram i figured out this too...the refl of light is noisy...but i dont care....the image is general noise free

an other test with the same render time and with transparent materials....the caustics are so clean with hybrid enabled....chek this out....

I think, indirectly lit scenes (or participating media) still look better with MTL

But the WHOLE renderer now is faster, 'cause of rQMC! MTL benefits not much of that, though (but Hybrid and Pathtracing do

)
