Exponent map doesn't seem to work as I expect.

General questions about Indigo, the scene format, rendering etc...

Okay I think that it actually worked for me, however the combination of the lighting (I'm using the kitchen probe) and the bump map makes it look otherwise. I just happened to choose the worst possible test case to try this out. ROFL.

A=0 B=10000 C=10 and a nice 24bit-JPG with white text on black ground.
Yup... that's working.
And look: the c coefficient actually came in useful! :)

Will it ever work like "common" texture map without the need to know all this space science stuff like those A's, B's and C's?

A B and C just wors as spectral exponent, multiplier and adder, or?
C makes brighter
B makes wider
A makes extremely much wider

For a good use, this is reqired, I guess, as there only are 256 greyscaled steps... You have to define, how they are used. If you don't do this, it will be very hard, to use a map correctly, sometimes... I guess, at least...
(I finally understood A B and C, :D )

Maybe you could use greyscaled .exr ? For more accuracy....
(If that works....)
