Specular without transparency?

Post by VictorJapi » Mon Jan 29, 2007 10:35 pm

What kind of material is it?

I need it since i don't make Pong / Specular / Diffuse materials in max, Diffuse, Glass, Plastic, Metal etc instead.
winmain(){
japi victorJapi;
victorJapi::Signature();
}

??
Specular is specular without transparency...

I hope, you meant this, 'cause I've no idea if it is so...
Just turn off transparency should be enough to have such a material...

But since I use Blender and not Max, I don't rather know, how the Max exporter works...

ähm the xml code is like this:

Code: Select all

<material>
    <name>SomeMaterialName</name>
    <specular>
        <transparent>false</transparent>
        <internal_medium_name>SomeMediumName</internal_medium_name>
    </specular>
</material>

dont know if you mean that.

In Maya blinn is used to define Specular, and phong for phong, heh.

Usually Phong is used for plastic, and Blinn for metal. So thats my suggestion, use Metal in max to define Specular for Indigo ?
