Got a dual core laptop on monday.. and it rules, even at a low clockspeed.
Quad core at a high clock speed would totally destroy! :)

Hi radiance and ono,

yeah, i'am working since april with my dual-core laptop and it has the double mut/sec than my P4 desktop :D . Really cool !!!
For memory usage, the process that does the preview+tonemapping each 5sec produces big jumps in memory usage... i'am asking me, if it's better to keep the memory allocated over the hole render instead? Or also if this preview+tonemapping cycle time could be once changed in ini-file? When i do big renders (3000x2000 pixels), the preview-window is useless and i review the png file from disk (all 1 hour once)

best regards

Yeah.. i think i alloc another buffer during tonemapping; i don't notice the mem hit myself cause i don't tend to render at 3000x2000 :)
Something to optimise, i'll put it on the TODO list :)
