[Req] Fix and Improve the Indigo Material Preview Scene
Re: [Req] Fix and Improve the Indigo Material Preview Scene
Thanks Whaat.
I'll keep this preview scene in mind, maybe after 2.2 stable is released we can update the preview scene everywhere.

Good job whaat. I think that in a near future we'll be swapping preview meshes at will, and perhaps have a "render this object in (or: fitted to the) Preview Studio" option...

I'm afraid I will be leaving this project for now as my main goals have been accomplished.

I've been working on the scene for a bit but didn't have any nice ideas yet, I'll see what I can come up with

About the bubbles: they can stay as a whole mesh, what they need is a separate air material and precedence instead of being part of the test mesh.

I've never had to do that for bubbles. You just make them little spheres inside the mesh with their normals pointing inwards.CTZn wrote:About the bubbles: they can stay as a whole mesh, what they need is a separate air material and precedence instead of being part of the test mesh.

it would fix the issues with displacement.StompinTom wrote:I've never had to do that for bubbles. Created this super 99.9% smooth sphere without any bumps and crap around the logo.
If there's any interest I can do the whole shebang...

Re: [Req] Fix and Improve the Indigo Material Preview Scene
A updated testscene that works well with displacement and has 100% correct scaling would be great!
For a testscene disable the DOF Blur... it only suxx extra render power out of Indigo.
Also optimizing the scene as much as possible toward fast rendering is very important!

I'm begging for a testscene in meters, as an architect. Hope someone will hear me
