In my childhood we played this toys. Maybee you too?
This is my old project was prepared for competition called "mechanical toy"

Hey- I had one of those, or at least something very similar.
I remember, that i had a pencil in one end of the spool and match (or a needle) in the other.

Great rendering too. Maby the spool is just a bit too reflective.
