lol!
That *screams* for an anim ^^ (either "just" folding (?) it from a clip, or a little film - or a little film, which starts with the shaping of your character of a single clip^^
Oh, and obviously all in Indigo with 200h render-time per frame (you'd even beat WytRaven

)

still quite thin, but much better

(it's strange: on one hand, it's very thin, on the other, it's very green... you should make the walls thicker and the absorption lower...)

You saw a similar paperclip in apr-mar 2007 entries gallery for the "small things" competition.
An aborted competition should I say, but I'm glad it inspired someone

Nice picture by the way

no anim?

Very nice!
I didn't notice the yellow tint of the paper, with the wrong whitepoint

Much better, this way!
You finally corrected absorption

Those black balls are nice, but they look somewhat schematically placed, in my eyes...

reinhard is "artifical" where as camera tonemapping is based on cameras

Reinhard kinda produces too uniformly tinted pictures - they look greyish and flat.
