Re: landscape with skindigo
Holy moly, that's beautiful!
Re: landscape with skindigo
Wow! Very good!
This is really done with SketchUp? Can you show a screenshot of the model?

Re: landscape with skindigo
That is impressive.... whoa. Are you using the new scatter tool in Skindigo?
Re: landscape with skindigo
Definitely some of the best landscape I've seen out of SketchUp! Well done!

Re: landscape with skindigo
Great mood, reminds me of France.
Re: landscape with skindigo
Wow, so many positive comments, thanks a lot!
lape: yes, it's really in sketchup, see the screenshot
Voytech: I originally intended to use it (on the whole green surface), but when playing with it, I got some error from beta version of new skindigo. Finally I used only component instances for grass and trees...it works, but really looking forward to use new scatter tool in stable version of skindigo
I will try and share one more scene from this model.

Wow, nice work.
The roadmarker texture (granite?) seems too clean for the scene, maybe experiment with it a little?

Anothe scene from the landscape model...I know, it is too dark, still work on it...
Juju: it should be dirty (or sandy) road, I will try to find better texture or different bump map.

Re: landscape with skindigo
Hi CoCash, by roadmarker I referred to the (granite?) bollards at the roadsides / road edge.

Re: landscape with skindigo
That last one is absolutely awesome!
As suggested, make the bollards a bit more...gnarly and then we should have a contender for the Indigo front page.

Re: landscape with skindigo
I'm not totally feeling that grass, it's like there's no gravity affecting it. Otherwise beautiful work again.
Re: landscape with skindigo
Thank you for your suggestions!
It took some time to come back to this model, but here it is. I tried to use better texture to look the milestones little bit gnarly and I also added very decent displacement to it.
Also added new grass proxy, which should be litlle bit "loppy"
I am still thinking about another shot from this model, but it should be very wide view from the hill in the background. The question is, if I could achieve the impression of distance in the raw render (to look the landscape -hills, trees, forest- in the distance more and more misty as the distance increase)?

Yeah, that looks better. Good move downing the bloom as well.
