Hi!
When I do a render, for example with gpu acceleration, I see that samples per second increase gradually and then stop on a value (for example 1000).
So, I leave the computer and come back after a few hours: i find the screensaver (I have unchecked to stop the disks in mac preference), and i found indigo is going but I see that the samples per pixel restart at low values and gradually grow.
How so?
if I'm not always in front of the program does it restart slowly?
Thanks if you can help me

Re: Samples per pixel increase and decrease
You mean samples per second, not samples per pixel (which should never decrease...)
It is likely that render stops during sleep (screensaver), this is a known issue on macs. You need to change some settings of Mac OS X for that (I don't know well, I'm on M$oft)
It then increases gradually because Indigo "smooths" the samples per second to give a less jittery value.

Re: Samples per second increase and decrease
thanks galinette
I have edited...you are right: samples per second
So I turned off the screensaver ... probably there is no other way
Thanks a lot

Re: Samples per second increase and decrease
You can keep your screen saver.
Instead: find the Indigo applications in the application folder, open info (cmd-I) and click the "prevent App Nap" box.
Hope it works.
