skindigo mesh problem

Post by faffo » Thu Dec 08, 2011 3:43 am

Hi i'm testing indigo with sketchup and i've many problems in mesh like in this one.
In SU i'm showing the hidden geometry and seems all clean... but in render reflections are messy...
Any solution?

Thanks,
Fausto

Hi,

This is a known issue that is being worked on with very high priority. I plan to have a fix released ASAP. Do you mind posting this SKP for testing purposes? Thanks!

maybe triangulation would help? You can do it using some plugin or by exporting to .obj format and imprting back to SU.

You should cut the plane rectangular close around the typo to avoid large tri polys.
I know that proper meshflow in sketchup is a pain in the ass... :-)

... and you really can't do a simple cut in SketchUp?

If you cut like this, you will avoid large tris and it will render nearly without phong artifacts.
