"Errors occurred while attempting to unpack the PIGM file."

Post by Coen Naninck » Tue Jun 28, 2011 12:55 am

I get this error when trying to load a new material from the online repository. I found this thread, but no solution there. And then it says "Material could not be loaded.".

I installed SkIndigo exporter over the old version (which was not installed but contained in the SketchUp Plugins folder which I simply copy and paste when reinstalling Windows). Maybe this has something to do with it?

By the way I bought my RT license last Friday and emailed support if the payment went well but haven't received a response yet. Maybe that's due to the weekend?

Does anyone from Indigo Support know about this issue? I basically can't load new materials now.

Hi Coen,
I think this issue is due to the RT build not including the console, which is used for material unpacking.
We will fix this issue soon with a new build.

Yes, I am sure that is the problem. For a temporary workaround until the new build is out, you can do the following:
1) Download an Indigo material using your Internet browser.
2) In the Indigo GUI, use the Tools->Unpack Indigo Scene or Material and select the file you downloaded
3) Once unpacked as a file with an IGM extension, SkIndigo should be able import it no problem.

Hey!

I tried what whaat suggested but no success. attempting to unpack the pigm using the indigo gui i get this:
Error: An error occurred while unpacking the packed Indigo scene or material: Failed to open zip file at '.....path...../Parkett.pigm'.

about a year ago i could just unpack the pigm using stuffit expander but that seems not to be possible anymore.
any advice? thanks

Indigo Renderer v3.0.14, OS X 64-bit build
Mac OS X 10.7.2
