Pens scene :)

Post by beta » Mon Mar 31, 2008 10:29 pm

This idea came to my head and i decided to make it... but now i feel like there' something missing... :?
These are two fast tests (both renderered in 1 hour moreless...):
1st)
Image
2nd)
Image
(Some materials where changed in 2nd scene... but i think i'll keep 1st one...)
Maybe what i want is a floor like the one here...
Maybe some DOF too?
Image
i thought it was just a glossy+metallic+an uv texture but when i try that, colors are gone and texture looks like black and brown only... just strange... so can anyone tell me how can i achieve that effect?

What do u think?
Feel free to comment...
Thx in advance!
:D

Do you use blender/blendigo?
Then you have to change in the environment tab to environment map, load the exr and you can delete the sun.

Huuuu ... I can understand the frustrating thing of many viewings and no posts ... ;)

And what about slightly modify the point of view and composition of Your scene ?

I speak from an artistic point of view ...

In the second render, the squared wood patterns follow the imaginary lines drawned by the two pens that seems to be stricly parallels.
What about rotate at last one of the pens to break this kind of parallels in aim to create a dynamic, and maybe also rotate the floor tex ?

And last ... Blender can open an .hdri image format in the UV editor, and save it to the .exr format. I did it for tests purposes.

Hope it will help a lot. :) Keep posting, I don't doubt Your idea have a great potential.
