Liquids Test Thread
Re: Liquids Test Thread
which indigo setting goes to the sketchup opacity setting? it definitely makes a difference where it is set ...
Re: Liquids Test Thread
I think the opacity in sketchup controls the light absorption that goes to indigo, but im not sure.

Re: Liquids Test Thread
Sounds to me like Opacity = Gain or at least that's the only equivalent I can think of (by looking at the blendigo UI)

Looking forward for the scene pixie, so that one can be pinned down
Preferably not an igs but a native scene, so geometries can be checked easily, thanks !
Or maybe... what if you disable mlt this time ?

I prefer your 1st material though. This one has too much sss I think.

It seems the problem is due to multiple SSS materials...cpfresh wrote:pixie that looks nuclear!

Re: Liquids Test Thread
9 inches tall glass? thats pretty big, especially seeing as this one is almost as large as it is high...pixie wrote:How many times more until you learn .neo?

Pixie, in my post, I admitted that I probabaly did it wrong..
Re: Liquids Test Thread
The only problem here is that there should be no "probably" in that sentence. You did it wrong plain and simple, no correspondence will be entered into.neo0. wrote:Pixie, in my post, I admitted that I probabaly did it wrong..

Re: Liquids Test Thread
HAHA, is this an OJ competition?!
AWESOME thread! Gonna post some test renders too this weekend
What about presets in indigo for some common sss-mats? they are hard to get into, hard to get right, and testrenders just take so damn looooooooong....
@neo0: scale the liquid just a little bit bigger, so it intersects the glass. this way indigo can render it more realistic, without the glass "borders" at the sides. see the other renders (or the indigo manual) to see what i mean. and then scale the whole scene way smaller of course. then great render!
@suvakas: greatest milk I've seen so far. I have tried milk before, and my best results were like grey paint with a lot of smoothing problems. Mind sharing your settings?
@everybody: what about a standard scene to test the liquids to compare the efforts made in here? Any attemps, perhaps with some fluid sim? At least I'll give it a shot this weekend...
