Borgleader, this is an absolute classic design chair... and you really shouldn't know it only from a computer game!

Speaking of gamer guys...what the hell happened to ne0? Should we be worried that there haven't been any weird requests lately? I miss staring hopelessly in resignation at his posts. :lol:

Left this one to render for most of the weekend.
Uses the new SSS code.
bidir=false, mlt=false.
Uses Whaat's orange juice material ( http://www.indigorenderer.com/materials/materials/102 )
And Pibuz's scene.

Looks pretty good to me, apart from the annoying artefacts at the top surface of the orange juice.

:shock: Amazing that it even cleared without using MLT! A testament to the new code! nice work ono! What about implementing the new code for MLT and Bidir? Will we see major speed improvements for SSS for MLT in the next version?

One thing about the Pibuz scene is that he had his precedence setting for the glass lower than the juice. Did you happen to fix this before your rendered?

Man that is nice :) GJ Ono!

Thos artifacts at the top look like a normal issue (to me at least)

It's already implemented for bidir, and works naturally with MLT.
So it should help speed up SSS in all modes (bidir on/off, mlt on/off) in the next version.

Yeah, I fixed the precedence. Otherwise stuff goes completely wrong.

looks good Ono... I'm looking forward to some usable SSS :)

Anyway I think that SSS is best usable if you have some possibility to focus your rays on the area of interest.
Something like interactive region rendering... to be setup and changed on the fly... 8)

BTW: will the Endo/Epidermis material benefit from your new code too??

It's not the grid texture at all, is it?
