I like tricks. My experience is that in professional CGI production, you always end up using cheats and tricks anyway, so you might as well let Indigo do it for you.

True that!

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
Exactly. The idea is to save the end user from having to shop in some clouds, or to prevent the end user having to use an env map. (that will probably result in an incorrect look due to non-physical values in the env map)Oscar J wrote:I like tricks. Nice, though the fluid looks a bit low-res for some reason. Keep tweaking

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
Perhaps not so simple but i wanted to share

Probably one of the most ambitious things ive done with indigo in awhile. Modelling took quite awhile and then the rendering took a few days of tweaking xD Some post pro done in ps cc

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
Everything looks shiny, even the sectioned walls: I suggest you check you mats and set the white walls as diffuse and paint the back face with a flat black. This way, you'll enhance the perception of the inner architecture, which I think is the aim of the work.
IMHO work a little in postpro on the contrast to give more overall depth!

Try to tweak the colour balance until you get rid of that sterile, blueish tint of your whites. Will look ten times better.
