How do I fix this?A problem occurred with the scene:
Scene parsing error: failed to load XML doc from path '(path to IGS file)': Error reading end tag. (Line 2538, column 37.)
Indigo version: Indigo Renderer v3.4.16, Windows 64-bit build.
No metadata.
Error reading end tag
Error reading end tag
I'm getting this error when exporting a scene, it's new and I didn't have this problem two days ago.
Re: Error reading end tag
would help if you could specify "Line 2538, column 37" from the exported igs file, and post it here

Re: Error reading end tag
IGS are basically XML files correct?
If so, then I'll be able to open it with notepad or similar?

Re: Error reading end tag
I renamed the file and added .XLS at the end, Excel opens it as text, dropped down to row 2538.
I'm not sure how I'm supposed to read the columns, but line (row) 2538 reads as follows:
<name>NULL_<Beige>1_NULL</name>
Any ideas? Or am I going about it wrong?

Re: Error reading end tag
Looks like a bug. The angle brackets in the material name should be getting escaped. Are you using external materials?
Re: Error reading end tag
I hope I'm understanding this correctly, else define what is meant by external materials.
I'm not using any linked materials.

Re: Error reading end tag
I had one or two error messages regarding PNG's that popped up before as well, looks like it could be textures in some of the stuff I downloaded and used from the warehouse, will check that out as well and see if the problem resolves itself.
Will it be of any benefit if I were to copy and paste the entire contents for the SU model to a new file and try to render that?

Re: Error reading end tag
Seems that one of you materials in Sketchup has special characters in the name that cause conflicht,Juju wrote:<name>NULL_<Beige>1_NULL</name>
check you scene for a material named <Beige> and remove the brackets!
If you could give us the exact error message, that would help a lotJuju wrote:I had one or two error messages regarding PNG's that popped up before as well, looks like it could be textures in some of the stuff I downloaded and used from the warehouse, will check that out as well and see if the problem resolves itself.
Giving it a try should be quicker done than asking for it...Juju wrote:Will it be of any benefit if I were to copy and paste the entire contents for the SU model to a new file and try to render that?

Are you using the SkIndigo 'Thin Glass' material? This material creates blends your original material with a null material, but it looks like there is a bug with SkIndigo where it is not properly escaping the <> characters when it creates this null material.
Try changing the material to another type, like Phong and see if the error goes away.
Re: Error reading end tag
I inspected the model a little closer, turns out a number of materials had the < > characters, I renamed these (removed the < >) and it renders fine.
The material error I have I can't seem to figure out, refers to some PNG's used in components that need to be exploded to be rendered in Indigo, this problem doesn't seem to really pose a problem as the rendering is produces fine.

Re: Error reading end tag
Could you maybe link these materials, so the devs can "fix" that ?!Juju wrote:... turns out a number of materials had the < > characters, I renamed these (removed the < >) and it renders fine.

Re: Error reading end tag
I'll see if I have time over the weekend to isolate some of the geometry using these materials and put it into a separate SU file and post it here. Would that help?

Re: Error reading end tag
A simple link to the "evil" materials in the online material Library would be enough

Re: Error reading end tag
I'm almost 90% sure the offending textures are not Indigo materials. I'll have a look and see ove the weekend though.
