Hi
These initiatives should be encouraged. And 'desirable is a plugin for Win for OSX and it is well integrated in SU.

It's indeed very strange that none of the devs have answered this.

it could be that they don't see this as important as Indigo already has scattering, but we don't always render our SketchUp models, sometimes a straight SU image export is good enough, however it would make sense to be able to render it later without compromising the SU session, we all know how sensitive SU is on larger files...

Hi...I just purchased a Skatter beta version...I think that render only option is an amazing feature that should be implemented in Indigo Renderer...I'd love it...please, at least think about it!!!

P.S.) Skatter render only option is already supported by Thea, Vray, Twilight and Kerkythea...please...Indigo is the best rendering engine I know...and I own...it would be a very useful feature indeed

Hi jiminy-billy-bob,
That's an interesting kind of Ruby API, it looks like it might work quite well with Indigo.
We'll look into add support for Skatter at some point.
It won't be as fast or scalable as the Indigo scattering though, since that computes the instances in Indigo itself instead of in SketchUp.

I've had several requests for Indigo to support Skatter.
You can contact me directly to
thomas@thomashauchecorne.com
I can provide you with a license.
Who are you referring to? Can I bother you and get a license?
