New exporter?
New exporter?
Whaat, Ono, Benn,
Any release date on the new exporter? I've been trying to get the 'old' one to work with the new Indigo, but to no avail.

Hi Stinkie,
This one should work http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... 44&start=0
I will try to do some testing tonight with Indigo 2.0 to make sure that it is usable. If it is not usable, I will try to release a working version sometime next week.

Re: New exporter?
That's the one I tried. I installed both Indigo and SkIndigo again, but that didn't help. I keep getting an almost empty error pop-up (it only says "Error:") Hm.

Re: New exporter?
Is Skindigo version 1.0.9 compatible with Indigo 2.0 ?
I never got my head around the external material/textures thing of later versions, so I hoped the old fashioned 1.0.9 way of doing things would work as well...

Re: New exporter?
skindigo 1.0.9 isn't compatible with indigo 2. There was a change in the .igs and .igi file formats which is why theyre incompatible.
Id suggest giving 1.1.16 a go though, as long as your diffuse/bump/displacement are all the same size its very straightforward to load them up.

Re: New exporter?
I thought I posted a Skindigo Texturing Tutorial WIP that explains the new system, but I can't find it. Does anyone know where it is or have a copy?kwistenbiebel wrote:Is Skindigo version 1.0.9 compatible with Indigo 2.0 ?

Re: New exporter?
Have you tried opening the igs file manually?Stinkie wrote:That's the one I tried. I installed both Indigo and SkIndigo again, but that didn't help. I keep getting an almost empty error pop-up (it only says "Error:") Hm.
Re: New exporter?
No, I haven't. And I won't, though I appreciate the suggestion. Thing is, the mat preview isn't working either. Little use in doing a final render then, eh?

Re: New exporter?
thats because of the same reason. if you open the igs manually it will work.Stinkie wrote:No, I haven't. And I won't, though I appreciate the suggestion. Thing is, the mat preview isn't working either. Little use in doing a final render then, eh?
Re: New exporter?
I meant the SkIndigo mat preview.

I know.Stinkie wrote:I meant the SkIndigo mat preview.

Re: New exporter?
Wait, wait. So you're suggesting I should model, say, a sphere as a test scene, apply a texture, tweak the mat, export, open the igs with Indigo, go back to make changes, export again, open again, etc - and this for every mat in my actual scene? (Did I get that right?)
By the time I get anything serious done, Indigo 6 will be out.

Re: New exporter?
Yeah, it is not practical to manually open preview scenes. I know that the current SkIndigo version will not work effectively with Indigo 2.0. I will get a new version out ASAP.Stinkie wrote:Wait, wait.
