I became suspicious after you talked about the dialogs directory...

I'm using Jzip, and after downloading Indigo test 1.01 again and unzipping, I can see the same thing is happening there!

I've been using TUGzip for a while but recently switched. So maybe it's a setting I've missed in Jzip or maybe it was a mistake switching...

I'm on my laptop now, but will try and fix it within a few hours.

Yiiiiihaaaaaa!!!!!

Hail to the chief! Whaat - this looks fab!
I unzipped the same file again, and this time everything worked perfectly! I'm pretty sure biebel will get it working doing the same.

One minor thing though: If I removed the 3 indigo icons, by mistake, how would I go about getting them back?

Now, if you'll excuse me - I need to prepare a model worthy of some serious testing of this wonderful new tool!!!

I will be without internet till November 12 :( so I won't be able to provide any support here on the forums for awhile. Hopefully, there won't any more major issues with the new beta.

Cheers,

Whaat

I'm afraid I am still experiencing the same trouble. The panels show up but a lot of boxes are empty, no sliders, clicking a button doesn't produce an effect.

I followed your advice (spy search and destroy), lowering the firewall, internet security options, etc....
Unpacking the (new) zip file again didn't solve it. All .js files are in place.

Could this be a vista issue? Or maybe a compatibility issue with other render engines installed (Vray,..) ?

Cheers,
Biebel

I'll vouch for success with plugin while using Vista. I don't have Vray installed tho, so can't help with that.

Thanks cpfresh..so vista isn't the issue here...that narrows it down.
I think I'll need to wait for Whaat till the 12th of november ;)

well, look into your exported igs and look, what's line 4, column 5.
There is an option, that should be true or false and might have an integer instead. ;)

There's a problem with the preview scenes. They work with Indigo 1.0.1 but will give errors if used with Indigo 1.0.2, 1.0.3, etc. I will have to fix them and update. I suggest you fix them yourself for the time being. Go to your previews directory and open up all of the files that start with IMP (eg. IMPsphere.igs). Go to the line that says:

Code: Select all

<cache_trees>1</cache_trees>
change the "1" to "true" or simply delete the line altogether.

Go through the Getting Started Tutorial and let me know if you still have questions. If you are new to SkIndigo, I suggest using 0.9 Official with Indigo 0.9.1 Stable (From Main Download Page)

OK,
I need to know:
1) All security software installed on your computer.
2) Do ANY buttons work on the GUI?
3) Do any error messages pop up (check the Ruby Console)
4) Check your folders for three javascript files (range.js, slider.js, timer.js)
5) Did you install the recently updated version?

Is ANYONE else out there having this same problem? If so, please post and answer the same questions listed above. Thanks!

Here the answers:
1. windows defender (+ spybot search' nd destroy at your recommendation :))
2. some buttons show up (e.g I can see the list of preset materials) but none of the lnks work so they don't react when pushed
3.no error messages
4. javascript files are all in place
5. yes, latest version installed.

I will add a point 6 to the list

6. other render apps installed: vray, maxwell, kerkythea, podium, Fry.
Maybe some of those software apps causes conflicts?

Thanks for the support,

Kwistenbiebel

biebel,

A screenshot might be really useful to me here. :). I suppose it is possible that other apps could be causing problems. Hopefully someone else can post a similar problem and maybe they will have the same apps installed as you. You can't be the only person that is having this problem...
C'mon, people, help me out here!

Do you have another version of SkIndigo installed? You should remove all other versions in your SketchUp/plugins directory.

Please post a screenshot of the material editor (slider UI) with the preset window open. Also, post a screenshot of the contents of your SkIndigo directory.

We'll figure this out eventually...
