"Search material" doesnt work?

1. The search material function doesnt work for me. Is this normal? It gives problems while importing the file.

2. Is there a way to make customise the "custom" preview?

3. Is there a page with "known issues" where I could check these things before posting here?

A few questions

1. The search material function doesnt work for me. Is this normal? It gives problems while importing the file.

The search function should work fine. Are you unable to search for a material? What files are you trying to import? and what problems are you having? It could be either a bug or a corrupt material file.

2. Is there a way to make customise the "custom" preview?

I'm afraid not. I hope to make this possible in a future release.

3. Is there a page with "known issues" where I could check these things before posting here?

No but there should be.
