Awesome Ricardo,
All I needs a week off and I'll be playing with this baby !!
Its looking good.
So hows it work, do you just run the .js script and its already to roll ?
Does it use standard XSI shaders or are the indigo shaders ?
cheers mate your doing a great job ")

Hi Bullseye,
thanks

but hope to show you as soon as possible an alpha version. It's not a script, it's a C++ compiled plug-in and in my vision it will use a combination of XSI shaders and Indigo ones. It means, for example, that you should add to an existing material or a object or a cluster a CustomerProperty related to Indigo material in which u can define all the indigo's shader parameters that cant' be found in the standard XSI material definition.
More to come.
Best regards, R.

Hi Bullseye,
due to my night-thinking, this morning i've changed the code and i've resetted the XSI coords-sys to standard XYZ... and everything works perfectly.
Thanks again, R.

Thanks Mr. R!!
I can't wait to test your XSI exporter. The idea with the custom property is great to have access to all indigo features, that can't be controlled by XSI/MR shader parameters.

I am glad to hear of an XSI plug in. I have been trying to find a simple way to move my work from XSI to indigo. Thought about using a stand alone converter for the dotXSI files.
I am sure however that you are doing this for XSI 5 and I do not have it yet. I am still useing 4.2 and have found that there is big compatibility issues in plugins between the two.
My efferts where goung to be script based and would use the basic XSI materials directly. I have only been gathering information for the moment. My goal is to take past XSI work and rerender them in indigo. Lights would be turned into meshlights based on the area light of XSI. If area was not selected on a light then a sphere of one unit would be used.
I wanted to do as little changing to my scenes as possible.
Will still be looking forward to your plugin.

Hi dears,
XSI2Indigo is still under development. Sorry not to have given any update in the previous week, but had to (unfortunely) lower the "process priority".
Hope to start coding again in the very next days
Be patient and take care.

Awesome!
Looks very promising! I like the nkdata-selection stuff.
Still can't wait to export my first indigo scene directly from XSI.
