Wow! It's fast!
A test with one thread:
Upper is 32bits
Lower is 64bits
Anyway I will wait until the non-console version
Thanks!

3:4=0.75 ___ 32:64
or
4:3=1.3333333333333333333333333333333 ___ 64:32
and then
70:87=0.80459770114942528735632183908046 ___ 32:64
or
87:70=1.2428571428571428571428571428571 ___ 64:32
nice
so, it's about 33% to 25% faster.

Well there are some other changes made since 0.9 test 4, so the speedups you're seeing probably aren't due to the 64-bit ness.
My results were a 3-4% speedup from going to 64-bit.

The posted x64 version is a little bit past test 4, some changes were made before i compiled it as 64 bit.

Oh, I see.
That's why it's 4.5 instead of 4.
Why is exr that hard? What does it do wrong for using it in 64 bit?

There were some nice precompiled libs for 32-bit, but not for 64 bit

I'm sure you'll find some 64bit compiled version on the Net... is this an option?!

Randomly downloading libraries off the net isn't a good idea.. and the official site doesn't have a 64 bit build AFAIK.

Ok... I just thought that you are not the first guy who would need a 64Bit optimized version of these libraries

Maybe a experienced coder in this Forum could do a 64Bit version for you???!
But shouldn't be the usage of 32 bit libraries also possible on 64 systems too?!
BTW: I just realized OpenEXR 1.6.0.0 is out since a few days...
exr saving for Violet still would be nice

ZomB:
I think i'll just build from source, it's just a bit of a hassle.
I don't think u can use 32 bit compiled libs in 64 bit code.
